Professor Adebola Oyedeji - Chairperson

Bola Oyedeji is Professor of Organic Chemistry at Walter Sisulu University, Mthatha, South Africa. Previously, she has been Senior Lecturer in Chemistry departments at University of Zululand and at Lagos State University at different times.

A seasoned researcher, her research on plants and essential oils has contributed to discoveries in health and beauty. Her research discoveries to date include:  weeds that can be used to protect farm produce, livestock and grains from pest; South African medicinal plants that can create jobs; compounds which have antifungal properties that can be used to cure skin infection and in the preparation of dermatological creams.

She has  also uncovered some  compounds which are effective in killing breast cancer cells.


Professor Oyedeji  has over 130 journal articles and 3 book chapters to her credit.

She is a recipient of several awards and research grants. A well sought after conference speaker, she has chaired several conferences and given keynote addresses at workshops and conferences.

Professor Mbe Egom Nja


Mbe Egom Nja(Fellow, Royal Statistical Society, London) is a Professor of Statistics and Head, Dept. of Mathematics, Federal University Lafia.Nigeria.  He holds a Ph.D in Statistics from the University of Ibadan, M.Sc. (Statistics), MBA, University of Calabar and B.Sc.(Mathematics), University of Jos. He has over 30 publications in both local and international journals. He has supervised several Ph.D theses and is still supervising many others. He has also examined several Ph.D theses as external examiner in several Universities.

In his University teaching and administrative experience, he has been Member, Governing Council of two Universities, Dean and Chairman, Committee of Deans, Director of Academic Planning, member, Cross River State Science and Technical Education Board. He is Proprietor, Majesty High School, Calabar, Academic Team Leader, Nasarawa State Jolly Phonics Project. He is widely travelled and involved in several research projects.

Dr. Timi Hyacinth

Timi Hyacinth specialises in English Language Teaching and teacher education. She is a former IELTS examiner, teacher, head teacher, director of studies, head of a pre-university programme and Cambridge accredited programme leader. Dr Timi has designed and led the training of nearly 2000 primary school teachers in a single project. She works as Executive Director of African Foundation for Elementary Education. She completed her PhD at University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Ebere Nweze

Ebere Nweze holds a PhD in English and Literary studies, an MA in Literature and a BA (ED) degree in Education with emphasis on teaching English. She is an accomplished scholar who has many publications to her credit. Her interests span the field of Postcolonial studies, gender definitions in African, Caribbean and American Literature, Children’s literature and general English studies – areas she has done substantial research and conference presentations.


She taught in a number of universities in Nigeria and moved on to Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates where she was Assistant Professor of English and Communication.  While in Abu Dhabi, she won many awards for excellent teaching and research acumen. Her areas of interest include Ethics and Practice in Profession and Businesses. At present, she works as a Senior English language and literature instructor in Stockholm, Sweden.


Ebere serves as a volunteer facilitator to international charities focusing on literacy and new Language among young people and adults.

Professor Emmanuel A. Onwinoduokit

Emmanuel Onwioduokit is the Commissioner for Economic  Development, Akwa Ibom State. Prior to this appointment, he worked as an  academic, an economist and an administrator in both local and  international organisations.  He has been an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Uyo, a Chief Economist at the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI); Chief Economist in charge of multilateral surveillance of WAMZ member countries.


He has served as consultant to both the World Bank and the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a seasoned economist by training.


Emmanuel was the Special Assistant (Economic Affairs) to the Vice-President, Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999-2001).


He has authored over 89 journal articles and a book on public finance.

Chinyere Obinna

Chinyere holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Law and Governance with concentration in Conflict Management & Peace Studies.  Her career includes practicing as a Solicitor in Nigeria specializing in organizational compliance and governance. She has been actively engaged in volunteer activities in her church community, as a counsellor, mentor, and mediator.

As a result of her interest in organizational conflicts, particularly in religious organizations and schools, Chinyere recently began a  doctoral study in Conflict Resolution Studies at Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

Dr. Nsikak Bassey

Dr. Michael Olujimi Kehinde

Michael Kehinde is the lead of Diversity and Inclusion at the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, Toronto, Canada. Prior to this role, Michael had taught Political Science at universities in Nigeria and England. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Pennsylvania State University in the US. Dr. Kehinde received his doctoral degree in Politics from Durham University in the UK.


Michael is on the board of several not-for-profit organizations where he lends his skills and knowledge to social, educational and economic empowerment of the less-privileged and at-risk inner city youth. Dr. Kehinde brings to the Board a multi-sectorial perspective in academics, public service and not-for-public garnered in several countries across four continents.
